Black Panthers are awesome

Yesterday my husband and I decided to take the kids shopping, cause we wanted some things. Like a CoH game card or new pants for me. Hubby promised the kids that we would go to McDonald's for lunch and that craving should be satisfied for about another month or so. Oh! for me not them Bear was already asking today if we could go to McDonald's again. Oh and on Thursday my friend Star did get a hold of me and no she had not forgotten. Alas anytime we plan things they never happen. So we have decided that spontenanity is the only way we can get things done. Me with two kids and a husband and currently one vehicle (Hubby's work truck) and her with husband and FIVE kids and no time. So yeah Spontenanity. We'll see how well it works. Cynical Me!

So anyways, we went shopping yesterday and Hubby bought himself a book while I went to the Army and Navy store to look for pants for myself. I had the Bear with me and hate trying on clothes with a tag a long. Mainly because I don't get enough time in the fitting room or enough space if they have to come in with me and so usually end up making rash decisions. So I still have no idea what size I would need for myself to buy some jeans and I have been wanting to get a pair for myself for awhile. I think its been 3 years since my last pair and those my mom had given to me. I don't like shopping for clothes for myself and it shows. All of my clothes are getting that threadbare and dated look.

I was unhappy to find that my tendency to not like shopping was not helping me yesterday because I am also picky about quality. All of the good quality items in the store were for the petite or smaller than me sizes and the only sized items I could find were crappy quality polyester stretch pants and I most certainly do not need those. My ass is fat enough as is. So I did the sensible thing and went to the men's section and found some sweatpants for less than $6.00. So I bought a pair for myself and for my husband. Then promptly went to the toy store just outside of Army and Navy and spent five times that much on toys for myself and the kids.

Which is where I found the most adorable black panther stuffie that I had to get, for myself of course. Ebony now sits on my pillow or bed and the kids find it amusing. Hubby just thinks I am weird. It looks exactly like the black cat I own and is almost the same size as her as well. Thankfully neither cat thinks it is real and have not attacked it yet. Of course my black cat is sick right now and very much demanding attention. She will sit on my lap or the computer if I'm typing or playing and even laid across my chest one day as I was browsing web comics. Wow did my shoulder hurt after that hour. Still I will give her all the love and attention she needs. Even if it means cleaning the litter box. Whew was she raunchy on Tuesday. The only day my parents come to visit and they have to smell that. Yuck!

Still I love my miniature black panther though.

My cats used to lay for hours on a towel on the corner of my desk while I worked. I used to think they liked me, but now I wonder if they just wanted to keep me in sight in case I wandered close to the can opener.
