You see I love having a computer and being able to do so many fun and interesting things with it. Alas I must confess I am absolutely terrified about doing something wrong and screwing up the computer, the settings or some such thing and then not being able to fix it. See my Hubby likes to think he can fix things and sometimes(more often than not) he can. So I have been trying to familarize myself with the ways of the computer world and trying to learn the terms and slang needed to navigate it. Most of the time I can not remember a word or phrase or heavens forbid a simple email address because of the weird add-ons like .com or .ca or .org or .url. I don't understand these designations but have accepted their necessity. Yes I know that they are address tags just like postal codes and such but I still get confused about them. And that is easy stuff. Heaven forbid if I have to figure out how my blog works and what all the terms and phrases mean. I know that this stuff will become easier once I use it more often, but right now it terrifies me - well today anyways.
On a happier note we just came back from watching Happy Feet and the kids loved the movie. Hubby and I liked the songs and the subtle adult comedy. Memphis and Norma Jean being the most obvious. Still I am very impressed with Pixar films. They do awesome animation work and I am thrilled to see more movies coming out with that type of work. Of course I also love Miyazaki's films as well. I still need to pick up Howl's Moving Castle. I am such a sucker for romance in any film. Especially when it is well done.
One last thing. I have decided that I am not going to post any lists about my husband and why I like or dislike things about him. Those quirks and pet peeves and um yeah's are private and should only be discussed between me and my husband. I know some of my friends actually read my blog and do not think all of the dirty laundry should be aired. So I will still make those lists and give them to Hubby to discuss between ourselves. Though if anyone has an extra cookie jar I would love one.
