I have a cat on my lap and she's purring. Welcome to my world of mostly mundane but occasionally inane or even insane happenstances. The cat on my lap is black and yet she sheds white fur on me. You know what that's okay I love her anyways. SO here's to all my friends and family and I hope the next year treats them well.
My friend is having an old year wake party tonight and I was supposed to be there right now. Instead our babysitter cancelled and I let my husband go while I stayed home and played WoW. I am sure most of you know that WoW is the highly addicting online game of World of Warcraft but if not now you do and so from here on in it will be refered to as WoW.
Now if I had been at my friends wake party we would have been celebrating the passing of the old year of 2006 and what had been good or bad about it. It is her tradition of getting all her friends over on a day thats not New Years Eve and its been going strong for oh I would say 15 years or so. On that note I would like to say (clinking of non-existent wineglass) my toast to the old year saw me move from a setting that had me and my family living with another family to one where my family and theirs have their own houses. Rented of course but that will hopefully be changing in a year or two. My son changed schools with remarkable ease. And I was infuriated to find that no playschools existed in this area of the city for my daughter because they are not subsidized. Daycares are and so they are filled but not playschools...grrrrr. Ok short rant over. I have was to help prepare my daughter for kindergarten but I must admit I was happy to be selfish with getting an hour and a half to two hours out of a day all to myself. Sigh not to be until next year guess. Anyways, the rest of 2006 saw my sewing projects get a good start in the old place and then flounder under the mountain of unopened boxes at the new place. I'm sure Raven and I will still get lots of cloaks made for Quad War this year. As well as I will finish my husbands cloak as well.
Oops was that a resloution. Maybe.
Other things that happened in 2006 that I plan on continuing in the new year is my swimming once a week on Mondays with my friend (hereby known forever as) Raven. Twice if we can swing Thursdays. I also plan on keeping my place clean and relatively tidy. Meaning when my mother in law comes over the pile of toys wont topple onto her head. Eer. Not that that actually happened mind you but my dishes can be off putting if I don't do them everyday. Especially since there's no dishwasher in the new house. Sigh. I am okay with that. Maybe if I keep saying it Ill actually believe it someday. This is where you hear a huge laugh in the background! Okay bedtime for tired Panthers.
