I hate being sick

Every year I get one or two really bad flus or colds. This past weekend was a doozy. Still I was feeling marginally better today and so decided to go shopping. All the light bulbs seem to have conspired to die in our house over the last week. Hence we needed new light bulbs. Also some other things and I valiantly trugged through the shopping trip. On the way home I was getting cranky and short tempered. Go figure when your sick its really hard to keep your patience. It did not help when I said friends can come over as long you look after the kids as well. All I want is to sleep at this point and I can't. To make matters worse HE said "of course I can trust you too because your in a bad mood!" Well DUH! and who the fuck think put me in that fucking mood jerk.

In the back Smiles is like "calm down". Which thankfully I was able to take her advice and took some deep breaths and did not proceed to swear at my husband which just would have aggravated the situation. Still we are home now and he replaced all the bulbs without being asked to. So I suppose he has some good qualities and he is making supper. I suppose he's grouchy because I had asked him to do the dishes last night which he actually did them this morning. Also I had to do the cat litter which thankfully did not involve me throwing up right after. He tends to be grouchy whenever I ask him to do household tasks.
