Okay this jingle from the commercial has obviously worked its magic into infesting my brain and not letting me forget it. Or as you can see I wouldn't have been able to put most of the jingle Verbatim on my blog. Arrgh!

Of course that is a better counterpoint to "Fucking jerk! Goddamn Asshole! Who the hell does he think he is!!!" and so on while I finished my tasks late tonight. You see my husband has a bad tendency to underestimate how long a project will get done just so he can go "Oops I ran out of time. I couldn't finish it."

What started this vent tonight? Well lemme tell ya. I had been working all day towards getting everything packed and ready so we can go camping this weekend. Meanwhile, my husband got up this morning, played on the computer. Went to work for oh, I think an hour and then came home and guess what played on the computer. Then the only reason he got off the computer was because we had some errands such as groceries and dropping my sewing machine off at Raven's. (Hers died and she needed one to finish a hem.) SO what happens when we get home? Yup, you guessed it he went back on the computer to play some more. Which he had prearranged earlier!!! Me was I okay with this? I must have been cause I fucking let him!@

Then when the time came for me to go swimming with Raven which I had missed last week due to being ill he was still on the computer. The chores he had left to do were simple if not time consuming. All of which he could have done if he had gotten off the damn computer!!! The lawn was the chore I spotted first upon arriving home. He had promised me a third time this last week that he would mow the lawn before we went to Quad War. Half of the back lawn was done. The front wasn't touched. The back half he did do well... technically it was only a third. He did the half that goes between the house and the garage. The other side which goes from the house to back fence (which is further than the garage obviously) is also wider. So he technically only did a third. The kicker here is he said it would take him 30 minutes to get the entire lawn done! Hah! I am going to use a trick from Raven. I asked him now how long the backyard will take him to do and he told me 45 minutes. So I am going to write this on the board and tell him to not underestimate his time again!

He was supposed finish packing the kids clothes and his. I would do mine when I got home. All of them were stacked nice and neatly and would have taken five minutes tops to pack. Done? No! He did get a tub out of the garage for the non perishable food to go in and packed that. Oh and he packed his clothes. I really don't know if I can say he packed the camping gear in tubs. Oh wait! Yes I can. He packed them up for his long weekend game two weekends ago and never unpacked them. So I have no idea what state they are in. By the way yes there is supposed to be dripping sarcasm in those statements. The other thing that was on the list was to pack the chili into containers that we could take with us for the Friday night meal. Who ended up doing that? Yup, you guessed it...ME!

Then he tried to blame it all on me. I had said I would not be out long after swimming and would try to be home and get some more tasks done. Only I ended up getting a really cute outfit done for Smiles doll instead. He had wanted to go to Canadian Tire and pick up an electric pump (which by the way I was going to get him but the store was closed by the time I got there) so he wouldn't have to inflate our air mattresses with our hand pump. This is a snarky comment I know his mom will not appreciate. BUT HOW FUCKING LAZY IS THAT!!!!!! I asked Raven if she had one and they have a foot pump which I thought would be acceptable. NOOoooo! It has to be an electric one so he doesn't wind himself. I am getting very tired of him using his asthma as an excuse not to do things. Or even worse he'll say he will do something and then at the last minute come and ask me if I can help him with it. What the FUCK is that about! I am sorry I have done my jobs for the day and am finally resting or have been sick for the last two weeks and he can't do the dishes by himself?!@! Once just once I would love for him to do the job he says he's going to do and actually finish it and not leave it half assed undone!

Yeah, I know we have been cranky and tired and pissed off at things lately. There are personal things that are not going very well at the moment, but you know what? These peeves of mine have been going on for about nine years now and I for one am getting awfully tired of them. It is finally getting to the point where I won't take this bullshit any longer. Most days these days all I can see him as is a whiney spoiled brat who should have been spanked more into cleaning up after himself. And I know that comment is going to offend someone. Okay vent is over for now. I am not so angry as I was when I came home tonight. Now to try and get some sleep because we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. And you know what? I am not going to lift one finger to help my husband finish the jobs he was supposed to! I have done my half I am not doing his.

Thank God we have good neighbours who will look after the house and water our plants for us while we are gone. Okay there are some good things in the world :)
