A new plant in the garden

I planted the tomato plant that Smiles gave me for Mother's day yesterday. The weather was nice enough and I know that I will just have to cover it up should the weather get yucky again. Which it seems like it wants to be today. I actually hope it does rain for like two or three days and wash all this dust and dirt away. But I don't think that'll happen. Though Smiles is supposed to be going to a outdoor birthday party after school today. I hope it does clear up for that at least but I think poor Jo is going to have 10 kids in her house for a couple of hours.

Eyes has been really cute and growing by leaps and bounds. She has discovered that from the table next to the couch that she can reach the light switch. I think you can guess what she does from there. She also loves to go outside and play in the backyard. After I drop the kids off in the morning I have been extending the walk home by a couple of blocks every day. Today I had a companion with one of the other school moms which was nice. Then when I get back home I let Eyes run loose in the backyard. She loves exploring and finding all the things that need to be thrown out from over the winter like the broken toys and rocks and such. When I was working in the garden she was discovering the taste of dirt. Lots of fun!

Other than that Raven and my sewing for Quad War hasn't particularly started. Which means we really have to get off our butts and start sewing. For some reason every Thursday comes and we both find excuses as to why we should not be sewing. Though I plan on going to the farm this weekend since the kids will have a four day weekend from school. This way I might actually get a few cloaks done and not feel like I totally let Raven down. And maybe it'll poke her into actually sewing too!
