"You can't leave!" Arms straight out from her sides with her feet planted firmly one the floor Smiles states "I won't let you!"
"But I have to go swimming..."
"No! You can't go!"
After a couple of failed attempts of tickling, wrestling and making funny faces she is still planted in front of me.
"Are you trying to drive me insane?" I ask.
"You can't leave!" Smiles has a smirk on her face.
"Because I will go insane if I don't get out every now and then!" My voice is taking on that crazed lunatic voice.
"Yes. Yes! I want to you go insane then!" She shrieks with giggles.
"Then it worked because you have already driven me INSANE! Hahahaha" I lurch forward grabbing her and hugging her. Then I quickly make my escape.
Ahh life with kids.
Speaking of the other two the baby is cute and learning new things all the time like how to crawl onto the couch. Poor cat has no place left where she sleep in the living room anymore. Speaking of the cat we have a mouse (maybe more) in the house and when the cat came down to investigate and deal with the problem the baby thought she was there to play. So here was the cat by the entertainment unit watching for the mouse to reveal itself when the baby toddles up and whaps it shrieking happily. "The cat wants to play!" is written all over Eyes' face. Alas Eyes it is not you the cat wants to play with.
As for the boy he is doing okay on the medicine and I have bought some lavender oil to help him get to sleep at night. His medicine has two effects that I don't like but have learned to live with. The first one is his loss of appetite. He has actually lost a little weight. So it just means I have to pack alot of fat and carbs into his food when he does eat. The second is he is still hyper and awake when bedtime comes hence the lavender oil. A drop of that on his pillow and he goes right to sleep. He has even asked for it a couple of times.
Other than that the mouse knows about traps because it ate the peanut butter without setting it off last night! Sigh life is life.

The Holidays are Over
I just took the kids back for their first day of school for the new year. And am now dreading the part where I have to do my resume and start looking for a job. Yes I know its a miserable time of year to look but with Hubby and his bunged shoulder someone has to bring in some income - somehow...
Anyways the holidays were good and were gotten through despite raging sickness throughout the house. The baby was so bad at one point I almost took her to the hospital. She had gotten so thin from dehydration. Thankfully now she's back to drinking her milk and not throwing it up or pooping diarrhea all the time. So yeah that was my Christmas and New year's. Sick baby and because I was taking care of her a very sick Mommy too! The other kids also suffered some sickness too but not nearly as bad as the baby. Though if I remember correctly Smiles was the one who started it all off!
Anyways I have tons to do and still have a queasy stomach so later!
